time spent: 2 weeks (on and off)

yea its a martini glass. yes i was crazy when i decided to do this on a scratchboard. yes i did hate myself afterwards for choosing liquid.

i'm not totally satisfied with this piece. theres not enough values in there. some places are too dark still and need some more scratches. :S

for those who dont know what a scratchboard is:
its a paper covered with clay or something that you can scratch off. think of a lottery ticket....you know..the ones that you scratch off. its just like that. XD

hmm.. those scratchboards cost alot to mess around with.

maybe if u have time go lifedrawing with coloured paper on long poses. buy like a pad of construction paper and do tonal studies. only draw the highlights first, and go from there.. it might help, Jinny!
